Tyrone Harrison is a strategy and operations leader with more than a decade of experience across freight rail, logistics, intermodal transportation, ports, sales, regulatory affairs, government contracting, and public sector collaboration. He began his railroad career in frontline operations and advanced through train operations, intermodal management, commercial sales, port rail development, and national regulatory work. That progression gave him a practical understanding of how decisions made in executive offices, government agencies, commercial teams, and operating environments affect one another.
His work has included leading large teams, managing activity across multiple rail terminals, improving service performance, supporting business development, building public-private partnerships, convening industry stakeholders, and translating regulatory requirements into operational processes. He has worked with major transportation and logistics organizations and has contributed to initiatives involving supply chain growth, rail access, organizational performance, safety, customer service, and economic development.
Tyrone also brings formal training in business, political science, and economics. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mercer University, completed graduate study in political science at Georgia State University, and is pursuing graduate work in economics. His interests extend beyond transportation to the broader questions of how businesses grow, how public decisions affect communities, and how individuals can build greater economic opportunity.
